Together with TAILORIT, Daniel Kuhn developed a holistic private label concept for fashion retailers in his master’s thesis. Yesterday, at the 59th TextilWirtschaft Forum, his work was awarded the Wilhelm-Lorch-Stiftung prize in the category business. Each year this foundation recognizes top young talents from all areas of the fashion and textile business.

In order to gain deep market insights for his thesis, Daniel Kuhn interviewed top managers from various retail formats, including for instance Adler, Hirmer, Galeries Lafayette and Peek&Cloppenburg. The result: private labels hold a lot of untapped potential. A holistic, integrative category management approach with efficient, customer-centric processes and target-group-oriented private labels is the requirement for sustainable success.
